I think I replied to one of your posts on or another message board with all the siblings of Erastus St John.

Erastus was born in Broome County, NY July 1853. He did not die in Connecticut though. He died in Rusk, Rusk Wisconsis in 1935 and is buried in Island Lake Cemetery there. Erastus was known as Park when he was growing up. After his mother died, Orson married Martha Ann Young. Martha was sick with consumption so in the spring of 1864, they moved to southern Minnesota in order to save her life. This trip included Orson and Martha, their young daughter Eliza Jane and Park. The traveled by canal boat up the Erie Canal to Buffalo, by ferry boat on the lakes, then by train to Chicago. From there they went to Winona and then to a small farm in Burns Valley where they lived for about 2 years before Orson purchased his farm north of Rushford, Fillmore, MN.
Erastus married Susannah Husanna (or Hanson) Nov 14, 1877. She was born June 1860 in Hammerfest, Finmark, Norway. She died in 1951 in Duval, Florida. She was living there with her daughter Elsie and husband Walter Vos. I am not certain where she is buried.
Their children:

Edward Valentine St John b: Oct 1 1878 d:Mar 17, 1963
Albert Fredrik St John b: Feb 7, 1882 d:
George St John b:Nov 19 1878 d:?
Willard H (William) St John b:Feb 1887 d: ? He was an inmate in the Minnesota School for the Feeble Minded in Fairbault, Minnesota.
Orlando D St John b: Oct 23, 1890 d: Dec 12, 1922
Charles St John b: Sep 7, 1894 d: Jun 8, 1969 He was an inmate in the Minnesota School for the Feeble Minded in Fairbault, Minnesota.
Elsie E St John b: Jan 20 1897 d: Mar 25, 1992
Twin Boy St John b: Jan 20, 1897 d: Jan 1897
Elmer Park St John b: Mar 7 1900 d: Oct 20, 1966

I wonder why your grandfather went by Al when he had a brother named Albert. I hadn't heard that one before.

I believe your mother is my half second cousin, once removed. You would be twice removed from me. Your mother and I are the same age. My line is down through Eliza Jane St John, the daughter who moved to Minnesota with Park.

Let me know if you need more. Feel free to email me direct.
