Mary Stock - Stebbing, Essex, 1780 ish

Hi,

I'm trying to trace my connection to the Stock in Essex, I've got back the late 1700s. On the 1841 census, there are two Marys listed, one born around 1816 in Stebbing, who as far as I am aware had two children before she married. Her mother was listed as being 60, also Mary stock - and I am attempting to follow her line back. I think she may have been mary thurgood and married a William Stock in 1798- but there were so many William and Marys about then!

If anyone knows whether I am on the right line, or totally in the wrong direction then this would be really helpful!

Thankyou,

Denise
