Hi, I am not sure there is a definite connection, but I have a Stock family who were Roman Catholic - my gggrandfather was John Stock a flour dealer born 1824 - died 1856 - he and his wife married, buried and all three of children baptised at Great Crosby - their residence was 246 Vauxhall road Liverpool. I note that there are only 37 Stock names resident and born in Liverpool in 1881 census - so I feel there must be a connection....Can you trace your Stock family further back?
