I have located the will of gggg grandfather James Stock of Chorley, died 1836. His children were John (married Dorothy Bullen, lived at Melling), William (married Elizabeth Pinnington, 1814, Toxteth Park), Catharine (married Richard Heskayne), Ellen (married William Bullen, 1806, Ormskirk), Marjery (married Thomas Rawlinson), James (married Grace Fazakerley, 1815, Toxteth Park, emigrated to Canada), Peter (married Margaret Hearsnep, 1823, Ormskirk), and Mary (married James Lancaster, 1825, Chorley, emigrated to USA). Children of John and Dorothy, William and Elizabeth, the Rawlinsons and the Bullens were baptised at St. Mary's, Aughton. William Stock had a son William born 1824. The other John Stock births are 1818 (John and Dorothy), 1819 (James and Grace, my gg grandfather, emigrated to Canada) and 1821 (William and Elizabeth). I have no information on the children of Peter Stock. That's as far back as I can get without physical access to Catholic registers. Keep me posted if you find the connection!
