I need help finding my Stockley lineage. My Great Great Grandfather was John Thomas Stockley came to the USA around 1881. He had a brother that came earlier. His name was Sandyland or Sandayland Stockley.
They never heard from him again. I have been searching and found that he had an alias name of Samuel Fillingham. I found this on the civil war pension index. He had a wife named Martha. His regiment was the 140th Infantry New York. I also found him on the 1840 U.S. Census - Virginia listed as Land Fillingham and a Martha Farmer. Are any of these names familiar to anyone. please email me. thanks
