Thanks for responding, Carol. You could be right. I will carefully search through everything I have found to see if I can make a connection to your husband's family. I'll also check what I have to try to connect your husband's family to the VA/MD STOCKLEYS. I was going through other GenForum messages and found reference to a Jacob Stokely and William Stokely who were in the household of Elizabeth Dixon of Deleware. Is she in your tree? When I have some free time tonight I will try to post a message to the sender, Don Parrish. I believe he is definitely looking for my husband's g-g-grandfather. He mentions that they were in the 1850 census for Mason Co., WV. Our Jacob was there and also in Meigs Co., OH, and buried in Braxton Co., WV.
