You may have resolved your question since your post is over a year old, but I thought I would reply anyway. The Woodman name appears in connection with Stockley/Stokely since the mid 1600's. I tried to find your Jacob for you in a book outline that was sent to me, but since the outline is huge and there is no index, I had no success. The author and Stockley/Stokely researcher is James Kirby III and I have an idea he may have the information you are looking for. I have an e-mail for him, but hesitate to put it on this forum without his permission. If you are still looking for Jacob and would like Jim's e-mail let me know.
