Susan.........Do you know who has custudy of that bible now? Your mention of Mason County WVA is interesting. Is it anywhere near Ohio County?
Unfortunately, I dont know who Frderick's parents were or where he was born, but I suspect it will be somewhere in the general area of Philadelphia which could mean Pa, NJ, or Del. His wife and family appear in the 1850 in Philly, implying that he died tween 1840-50. She was born in NJ. One of Fredericks sons, Harvey (my g-gfather) was a glassblower by trade. There were several Stokleys in the glassblowing business in Phila and across the river in Camden NJ, which was and is known as a glassblowing mecca.
I surely hope we can work together on this research and perhaps wind up solving both of our problems,
