The name of the book is "American Women" A Comprehensive Encyclopedia of the Lives and Achievements of American Women During the Nineteenth Century. Vol I of two Volumes. (Mast, Crowell & Kirkpatrick 1897 New York Chicago Springfiled, Ohio - Revised Edition - First Edition by Charles Wells Moulton 1893). It is a wonderful old book filled with 1,500 biographies & 1,400 portraits.
