Keith: In "Wills and Administrations of Accomack County, Virginia 1663-1800", by Stratton Nottingham, on pg. 5, the will of John STOCKLEY (dated 3 Feb., 1670/71, codicile 9 April, 1673 and probated 18 Aug., 1673) names daughters, Jane, Hanna, Ann and Elizabeth, with no last names. On page 37, the will of Elizabeth STRATTON (the widow of John STOCKLEY and John STRATTON) dated 17 June 1697 and probated 6 Aug., 1707) she names daughter Ann ATKINS and her children, daughter Hannah BALLY and she names the TOLES (TOWLES) grandchildren: Condel (Kendall), Henry,Jr., Stockly, Thomas and Job.
In the book "Virginia's Eastern Shore" by Ralph T. Whitelaw, Land Tract Numbered A147 it says that in 1690, Capt. William KENDALL, Jr. sold 500 acres to Henry TOWLES and 200 acres to John STRATTON and in 1692, Henry and Elizabeth TOULES (TOWLES) sold the south 207 acres to John GLADIN and in 1715, Henry and Elizabeth TOWLS (TOWLES) sold the balance of 283 acres to Ralph CORBIN. In Land Tract Numbered A162 it tells in 1721 "Henry TOWLES (wife Elizabeth, who later married John ROGERS, Jr.) left the home part to his son Kendall, and the balance to his sons Thomas and Job".
