Jan,
You show Daniel "Dan" 3 (Thomas 2, Davis 1) Stockton and his wife Catherine (nee Ferrell) Stockton with a son Hugh Stockton. Although Hugh Stockton is shown by some researchers as a son of Dan and Catherine Stockton, he is actually a son of Daniel 4 (Newberry 3, Thomas 2, Davis 1) Stockton and Susanna (maybe nee Scherer/Scherrer/Sherer/Sherrer) Stockton of Barren County, Kentucky. Daniel 4 Stockton died in Barren County, Kentucky, his will proven in Nov of 1800. In his will, dated 24 April 1800, Daniel mentions his sons Hugh and Newberry, his wife Susanna, and "the child my wife is at this time with." The child that had not been born when Daniel wrote his will was Daniel Stockton Jr., born 17 Aug 1800.
Daniel "Dan" 3 (Thomas 2, Davis 1) Stockton was still alive in 1815, so he is not the Daniel Stockton who died in Barren County, Kentucky, in the year 1800, and he is not the father of Hugh Stockton who married Susan/Susannah "Sucky" Bybee in Barren County, Kentucky, on 11 March 1819.
No documents have been found that show Daniel 3 (Thomas 2, Davis 1) Stockton had a son Hugh, and no documents have been found in Bedford County, Virginia, that show a Hugh Stockton. Researchers who show Hugh Stockton as a son of Daniel "Dan" 3 Stockton and Catherine (nee Ferrell) Stockton either do not show a wife for him, or show his wife as Susan/Susannah "Sucky" Bybee.

Your Oratrix further states that her father, Wm Ferrill by his last Will & Testament, left to your Oratrix for her support a tract of Land in the County of Bedford which will appear by a reference to the records of said County Court, which your Oratrix consented should be sold to pay for another tract of Land purchased by said Dan Stockton, which said tract was afterwards sold to Wm Stockton (now deceased) at the sale thereof, the said Wm Stockton executed his bond in the penalty of L[British pound sign]900 for the maintenance of the said Dan and your Oratrix--Your Oratrix states that she has never relinquished her right of Dower in said Land. The said William Stockton by his Last will and testament in writing what she prays may be made a part of this bill, provided that a full maintenance should be given to the said Dan Stockton and your Oratrix during their lives, and [paper torn away] Dan Stockton and Newberry Stockton Exors.
