Hi there,
John Stokoe born not 1828, but 16th Sep 1827. It was shown as 1828 because when the records are transferred to computer files the ages of people are subtracted from the census date so they can be up to 11 months out. Anyway John and Hannah`s children at the time of the 1891 census were:-
John J aged 19yrs
Charles N : 17 :
Mary E : 14 :
Gilbert : 11 : (my grandfather)
There was also living in the house, Rose N Snowdon a neice.
I have seen this on computer file as Rose Stokoe a nurse.

I don`t know whether there were other children, I`ll have to wait until I have access to the 1881 and 1901 census records.

Gil
