OBITUARY FOR EMILY ELIZABETH STOLZ ELLARD

This obituary is from the Marshall News Messenger(Marshall, Texas) Tuesday July 6, 1982.

Funeral Services for Emily Elizabeth Stolz Ellard, 61, of 3605 Forest Trail, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home with Forrest Waldrop officiating. Burial will be in Colonial Gardens. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside. Mrs. Ellard died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, July 5, 1982 in Marshall Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she had lived for many years in Marshall. She was born April 12,1921 to Harry Stolz and Emily Behrens Stolz and attended Jamaica High School in Queen Village, Long Island, New York. Mrs. Ellard was a corporal in the Women's Army Corp during WW II. She married Willis Edwin "Blackie" Ellard Jr. on March 31,1945 in New Port Beach, California. Mrs. Ellard was a legal and accounting secretary for Moseley Abstract Company in Marshall. She had previously worked for accountant Henry Brown and Thiokol Corporation. She was a member of Eastern Hills Chruch of Christ in Marshall. Survivors include her husband W.E. Ellard of Marshall; two sons, Gary Ellard of Hallsville and Kevin Ellard of Longview; four daughters, Mrs. David (Candy) Rusk, Peggy Ellard and Mrs. Ben (Susan) Blackmon, all of Marshall and Jannette Ellard of Shreveport; a brother Harry Stolz of New York City; one sister Mrs. Wilson(Dorthy) Deysher of Wallingford,Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Barry Ellard, Laurie Ellard, Austin Bynum, Meagan Blackmon and Melissa Rusk; several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
