Sharon,

Jane was my GG Grandmother. My Grandmother, Ola Weger Head, 1 of Nancy Poore Weger's children, always told me we were Black Dutch and her mother's sister, Libby Belle Poore Weger, always told her children and grandchildren we were Black Dutch. My understanding of "Black Dutch" is this means Indian.

I have just found your post-em and was wondering if you would please clarify abt Jane being Native American? The genealogy info out there shows Jane, Houston, and his children Native American. They also show the 3 oldest children were born before Josiah and Nancy were married. So, mine and 1 of my "Weger" cousins are thinking the Native American came in the family thru Nancy. We would greatly appreciate any info you could help us with. Maybe we can figure this out if we all pull our info together. By the way, are you a cousin also?

Have a Great Day!
