I am pulling at straws here but a few of your surnames caught my eye and perhaps you may have some connections to some of my brick walls.
I descend from Daniel Austin 1782-1831 whose son Daniel (my line) married Amanda Hurlbut. Daniel's sister Barbara married John M. Wilson.
Daniel and Amanda Hurlbut Austin's daughter Martha married James Augusta Baker son of Thomas and Mary Story/Storrie/Storey Baker. I know nothing of Thomas Baker nor Mary Story's dates of birth/death/parentage/etc.
Their son James Baker was born in 1845 in Brewer Maine and married Martha Austin in Lowell,Mass. in 1870. Martha was born in town of Depeyster, St. Lawrence County, NY which is on the Canadian border to Ontario. The perplexing question is how James born in Maine, Married in Mass. got connected with a gal born here in St. Lawrence County NY. I suspect perhaps some Canadian ties as has popped up over and over in my other family lines.
There are several Story/Storie families in this immediate area that I live in St. Lawrence County but have never been able to prove any connection to James' mother.
The Wilson line connected into one of my other family lines I am also researching. I have many bits and pieces of over 32 family lines I am researching. Please email if any of this info "rings any bells" for you.
