Hi Sandra,
I positively love your info.I have been looking for my Ann R. Stotler for eons and have been so disappointed in not being able to find her in an 1850 census where she would be 11 years old.I have looked at so many but didn't see Perry Co, in the list.Is is possible that Isaacs dau. age 10 could be an 11?Reason being, she is married by 1860 census to Hugh Runyan whose father was born in Hamilton Co, OH but they are in Henry Co., IN in 1860 and I imagine 1850 too but couldn't locate this family.By 1880 Hugh Runyan and Ann are in Madison Co., IN but by 1890 and 1893 respectively, they are deceased and buried at Knox Chapel, Grant Co., IN.In the 1880 census she lists her age as 42, born OH, parents both born VA.In the 1860 cen. she is listed at age 22.She died 30 Mar 1893 at age 53y-11m-4d which I calculated her birthdate to be 26 Apr 1839?
Yesterday I believed that she was the daughter of Joseph Stotler and Catherine Foster of Brown Co, OH because her first child was named Samira Foster Runyan but she is not in the family in the 1850 cen?
Some of this fits and some of it doesn't.I don't have access to Grant Co info as I believe I need to check the accuracy of the age on the Headstone. And of course Censuses are notoriously inaccurate but I am hoping that your Isaac Stotler is my Ann R's father.
I would certainly like to get your opinion on how close I might be.Thank you so much for posting all the Stotler info.I have read most of it and I appreciate the time and the research that went into the postings.
