The following deed of Conveyance was filed for Record the 29th day of May 1832 and recorded the 27th day of July 1832

This Indenture made this thirty first day of August in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one Between James Stotts Senr. of the county of Morgan and State of Indiana of one part_______that for and in consideration of the Sum of five hundred Dollars to him in paid by the said Robert C Stotts the receipt hereof is hereby acknowledged- he the heir James Stotts Senr. hath granted Bargain sold Conveyed and confirmed and by theses presents doth grant Bargain Sell Convey and confirm unto the Rober C Stotts his heirs and assigns the north west quarter of Section five in Township twelve North of Range two last containing one hundred and thirty five and twenty two hundredths be it more or less- Together with all and singular this premises and appentenses to the Same Belonging or in Conveyence appertainging And the_____right title interest___and ___of him the said James Stotts Ser. his heirs and assigns forever in and to the above described tract of land. To Have and To Hold the premises aforesaid hereby Bargained and Sold to the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Robert C. Stotts his heirs and assigns forever-And the said James Stotts Senr. his heirs executers and administrator warrent and defend the above bargain and premises to the said Robert C Stotts his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all lawful claims of all persns whomever-Claiming the same
In Testomy whereoff the said james Stotts Senr. and Mary his wife in relinquishment of Right of Dower in the above mentioned and described premise have herein to set their hand and seal this day and date first above written.

Be it Remembered that on the thirty first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one personally came before me the above named James Stotts and Mary his wife partees to the foregoing deed of conveyance to Robert C Stotts and acknowledge the same to voluntary act and deed for the uses and ____therein on proper and the Said Mary being by one examined seperate and apart from her said husband agree as to the Statute in such____made and provided acknowledged on the same to be and deed as theren_______
