Stoughtermyer/stoutemyer/any version

I recently found the record of my g-grandfather's marriage to Elizabeth Stoughtermyer. It said John J. Wiles married Elizabeth Stoughtermyer in Yorksville, York county, South Carolina. No marriage date was listed. They were listed in the Yorksville census of 1860 as 37 years old with 3 children, William, John A. and James. In 1880 in the Drew County, Arkansas census they were listed as Wyles with 5 children, William, John, James, David (my grandfather) and Elizabeth. So far I have found 8 different ways to spell Stoughtermyer. Any help would really be appreciated. Mgardner@brazosport.cc.tx.us
