Brian,
I am Barbara Stover's great great grandaughter. Her son Wesley was my great grandfather and his daughter Rose Casson -my grandmother. My mother Dorothy passed away in 2006 and recently I have begun tracing the Hounsell family tree. I have come to a block with Barbara's parents because I was sure it was Abraham and Elizabeth Stauffer of Markham. My mother once told me that her great grandfather had founded the town of Stouffville which this Abraham is credited with doing. However, he doesn't have a Barabara listed among his children. If she was she would have been his youngest child but Francis or Fanny is listed last a few years before Barbara was born (1818). I am going to look into this further. Do you have any suggestions?
For your information, the family farm is still in the Hounsell name. Barbara and John Wesley moved to Minden in 1894 and until the mid 70's it was still a working farm, not the case now. What branch of the family are you from?

Kind Regards,
Diane Tapscott
