While rechecking a map of Guilford County Landowners before 1800 (found on the Friedan's Church web page) I recently found a grant in 1779 to a Conrod Strader near the 1798 grant to Henry Strader. The date of the grant would seem to make it impossible for Conrod (or Conrad) to be a son of either Johann Heinrich Strader, born 1717, or his first son Henry, born 1750 in Orange (Guilford)Co. N. C.
