I think I have a possible lead for you. I have a David Strader (b. abt. 1775, Orange County, NC) who married a Prudence (last name unknown) about 1794. David was the s/o Margaret (?) and Johannes Conrad Strader who was the s/o Casper Strader and his wife, Margaret Uhrmeister. (Casper immegrated to Ammerica in the 1730's? with his children, but I haven't found any information of his wife still being alive at that time.) Mahala may have been one of David's douaghters or a niece. I am not sure if I have all of his and his siblings' children yet. I currently have six children listed for David and Prudence. They are: William Christian (my ggggrandfather), John, Jane, Sally (real name may have been Sarah), PJ, and Zephora.

The William Strader living with the Rufus French may have been the son of Daniel Strader s/o Johann Henrich Strader s/o Casper Strader. As I do not have dates for this William, I cannot be sure.

I hope this helps. If you would like more complete information on the Straders, just let me know and I'll send you what I have.

Lots of Luck!
