I have some information on this family, though possible nothing you don't already know.

When I saw that William and Cora were in the 1910 census of Pike Co., MO, I thought this would be a snap because I've done a good deal of work on the STRAUBE's of Pike and adjacent Audrain and Montogomery Cos. in Missouri, who are descended from one woman, a Mrs. Elizabeth STRAUBE of Bracken Co., KY (spouse unidentified).

Alas, I've been unable to connect this William M. E. STRAUBE (b. May 1872, MO) to his parents.
In the 1900 census, William & Cora are already married and living in Schuyler, Colfax Co., NE.The 1890 census was destroyed, so we have but one chance to catch William living with his parents, in the 1880 census, but I can't find him.
I did find the tombstone readings for William and Cora in the Schuyler City Cemetery.William died in 1955, so there must be a "modern" death certificate for him (i.e., one naming his parents).I hope you will obtain his death certificate and post the names of his parents here because this one really has me tearing my hair.
I had better luck with William's wife, Cora B. GRIMMETT (b. Jan 1873, MO), who is living with her parents, Henry H. GRIMMETT & Mary Louisa LINDSEY, in the 1880 census of Cuivre Twp., Pike Co., MO.

I also found Frank POOLE & Hallie F. STRAUBE in the 1920 and 1930 censuses of Schuyler, Colfax Co., NE.I had trouble reading the names of a couple of their children, so if you can correct these for me I'd appreciate it:

And if I've made any other errors, please don't hesitate to bring them to my attention.
