I am related to the Strothers, probably not the ones who were descended from royalty, but another fmaily of Strothers. The first note I find is that John Henry Strother was born in Georgia. The obituary for this John H. Strother spells his name Strawther. We cannot confirm any other information, except that John was born about 1853 in Georgia, probably lived in Alabama at some time in his childhood and appears in Clark County, Arkansas, working as a farm laborer for another man in 1880. We believe his father's name was Eli and that this Eli was married to a Sarah Jones (her 2nd marriage, we believe) in Georgia.
