My ggrandfather Strawder Edward Mott was born in Ross County,Ohio in 1838. His parents were Samuel S. Mott and Euphama (Euphemia) Oldham. According to census and family records, Samuel was born 22 June, 1782 in Dutchess County NY and Euphama was born 10 August 1799 in Virginia. My ggrandfather had a nephew named Strawder. As this is not a common name, I have wondered if it could be a family surname in one of his parents lines. So far, I have been unable to locate any information about ancestors of either Samuel Mott or Euphama Oldham. Can anyone help?
