I am researching the Strawders in Southeast Alabama. Spellings may vary, so would like input. This is the way it was spelled in the 1900's, per my sister-in-law. Benjamin Strawder (we figure was born abt. 1870-1880)was the father of: 1. Henry b. 1913 Coffee Co, Alabama d. 1952 around Slocomb and Wicksburg, and is buried at GoodWill Cem. near there. 2. Ray 3. Lewis 4. Inez 5. Pearl 6. Louise 7. Merle They are not in the 1920 Coffee Co census. This is all I have found up to now: Year: 1860 State: Alabama County: Coffee Post Office: Clintonville Sheet No: 870 Reel No: M653-6 Division: Election District #7 Page No: 122 Enumerated on: August 3rd, 1860 by: James Larkins LINE-Dwelling-Family-Lastname-Firstname-Age-Sex- Color-Occupation-Real Estate-Va-Personal-BirthPlace 29-815-815 Strowd, John age 22 Male White Farmer 800 150 b.
