Recently, about last year, one Wafford Strawder died. To take this back some, he was born about 1919, and grew up in Rowan County,N.C. That is to the best I know right now. I do know however he married one Lorraine House, (my cousin) of Granite Quarry, North Carolina. She is still living and in Granite Quarry, N.C. and maybe one day you would like to locate her. As of right now I will try to get more information and pass that to you. Anyway Wafford Strawder and Lorraine has four children: George Franklin, Mary Ann, Calvin, and Cynthia. They range in the ages between about 50 and 40, Cynthia being the youngest. Granite Quarry is a part of Rowan County, with Salisbury as the county seat. These are the African American Strawders I know of now. Like I said I will find out more.
