I suspect your grandfather’s middle name changed as well. Perhaps as a result of emigration, or maybe he had one name at birth and it changed at christening or confirmation. Henry, of course, is the English version of Heinrich. Heinrich Samuel Streit, b. 7/20/1882 in Nieder Muhlern, BE, CH, is included in Albert Zbinden’s compilation of the Streit Family of Canton Bern. He was the son of Samuel Streit (b. 11/14/1831 in Nieder Muhlern, d. 12/16/1900, #3080 in Zbinden’s compilation) and Marianna Lovial (b. 11/13/1838 in Charmoille, CH, d. 9/14/1905)
