Hi Drew -- yes, I think there is a connection.Do you have the birth dates or approximate of Jacob and Katherine? My grandfather was Alexander Stricker b. 1894 in Rosenberg. His parents were George Heinrich and Mary Elizabeth (Horst) Stricker -- George was b. 1850 -- the Stricker families came originally to Tscherbakovka - a mother colony - from there moved to Kraft and Rosenberg and around that area.I have the book of Marvin Zieglers -- There are serveral connections - p. 27 Henry Stricker m. Catherine Stricker - she was my great aunt -- also, Sabrina Ziegler m. Sterkel then a Bolzer was my great aunt.and there is more connection on that line. Also, we hired a researcher to trace the Stricker family back toGermany -- we think that your Jacob (Adam's father) may have been my great grandfather (George-) brother -- My grandfather, some great uncles, and great grandfather also settled in the Scottsbluff, Bayard, NE and Torrington WY area.Hope to hear from you again.
Patti
