Re George Stringfellow who married Milly Jennings and went to Kentucky: He is almost sure to be the son of James who was the son of William died 1746 King George County, VA.Williams minor children are mentioned in the legal papers generated by his death, James being one of them. William's son William is mentioned as he became a guardian to the children later.
George (mentioned as the son of the above mentioned James) is listed in his Uncle Henry's (James brother) will (Aug 1820, Culpeper county, VA) as living in Franklin County, KY, along with the families of his sisters Frances Martin, and Eliabeth Suter. This George was born 1772. Heis of an age to be married to Milly, and to be theone listed on taxables of 1800 in VA.
There was an older George born not later than 1741, who conducted land transactions in Fredericksburg, VA and vacinity. His wife as mentioned in transactions was Elizabeth. He was a carpenter and did indenture one of the Seale boys, James, in 1759. He asked to be relieved from paying taxes in 1793.He seems to disapear after this. If someone hasthe 1810 KY census info, we can tell if the older George was also in KY.
There is one other marriage in 1807 for a George in Frederick Co. VA. He married a Susannah Gray.
