I am sure there is a link. My Dad (William Oliver Stringfellow) was born in Houston. His dad was Robert R. Stringfellow who lived at 3903 Randolph St. His wife was Ella. I believe he had a brother James in Houston as well. He did come from Georgia. Also, Dad had a aunt on the Jackson side of the family and, believe it not, she always called President Jackson, Uncle Andrew. She did have a very old photo of Jackson in her home that I didn't take much interest in as a child, but later found out there is only one known photograph of the president and that is in Tennessee. In addition, Robert and Ella had a daughter Marie Louise. I have heard the name Carrie in discussions before but did not have a handle on who she was.
