Hi Carl -
My cousin John responded to your original email, but I think I have more info for you. The William Oliver that I have married Carrie Belle Jackson in 1895 and had Myrtle Mae and Carrie, and probably some other children (which would include, I assume, your grandfather Robert). Myrtle's daughters are Dorothy Baynes Ware and Peggy Baynes; Dorothy's daughter Sandy Lazenby emailed me today, actually, after finding a post on another geneology website. I'm pretty sure that your William Oliver's (the older one, born in 1866, not your dad) father and my great-great-grandfather John Robert Stringfellow (b. 1875) were brothers. In fact, my grandfather is named for your dad -- Oliver Durward Stringfellow (1908-1984). Let me know if this sounds right and also if you are in contact with Sandy. Thanks!

Susanna
