susanna, I do know a little about your Henry, if he is indeed the son of William of Richmond county NC, and Barnwell county SC. My line is William also. I have never seen his name written as William Robert, and I have researched the original records in the counties. There is also no proof that I know of to say his wife's name is Mary Ann Rebecca Martin Stringfellow. Rebecca is listed on a land sale in Richmond. However no children nor grandchildren are named Rebecca. It is believed that she is not the mother of the children. If you believe that the William in Bute/ Franklin counties (NC) is the same (and many of us do), then Mary is found on a land record with him there. If you believe that this William is the same who lived in King George VA in 1746 ( circumstantial evidence only for this), you can find him selling his land with Mary. Our William does have a daughter, and grandchildren named some form of Mary. I am interested in your Henry if he is our Henry. We know where some of Wm's children went, but are still working on others. We only know about Henry to 1835.
