This is much later, but somehow related I think. The Enoch Stringfellow who married Amy Rush moved into Greene Co., GA. Amy Stringfellow can be found as a widow of a R.S. in the 1827 GA Lottery, residing in Greene Co. I found the following references to both a George and a Henry Stringfellow in Greene Co., GA c. 1797-1798:
"p. 370. Deed Book P. Greene Co. State of Georgia. Lambert Hopkins of Greene Co. sold to Mary Williams of Greene Co. on 16 Jan 1798 for value received, 176 acres of land in Greene Co. bounded by Williams Billingsley, Allan Greer, McCall, and John Conner land. Wit. George Stringfellow. Rec. 12 Feb 1799. (p. 317). 17"
