You asked about William Stringfellow who lived in 1870 MS, Benela, Calhoun Co. He was the son of James and Melda Stringfellow. James was the oldest brother of Reuben Stringfellow, Jr. According to the birthdates of his children, James and Melda lived in Al from about 1826 to 1841. James and his brothers Reuben, Jr; Andrew J. or A. J. are named in the Butler Co. AL court records (copies available) for Reuben Stringfellow, Sr. I have found no proof that Reuben, Sr. ever lived in MS.
