Stringfellow and Humphries in Surry Co. VA

Is anyone out there descended from a Richard Stringfellow who lived in Surry Co., VA in the early 1700s?

Richard's stepfather was Evan Humphreys of Surry Co., and his mother was Jane (Harris) Stringfellow. Richard was listed in Evan's household on several Surry County tithables lists in the 1690s.

The last record about Richard that I know of is one where he sold land in Surry Co. that he had received from his mother. The mother had inherited the land years before from her own father, Richard Harris of Surry Co. Richard Stringfellow and wife Susannah sold the land in 1707 and then seem to have disappeared forever. There are no more records of them in Surry County.

Evan and Jane Humphries disappeared from Surry County at about the same time. My interest is in tracing the Humphries family, but I have noticed Stringfellows living not far from some Humphries families years later. Just wondering if the Stringfellows and Humphries might have still been in contact after the early 1700s.

Thank you.
