I did have ancestors that lived in Fauquier county. William Stringfellow moved from england in 1700 and lived in a county adjacent to fauquier and was later buried in fauquier around 1746. One of his sons, Robert Stringfellow, my great-great-great-great grandfather lived and owned two seperate estates (liberty hill and white chimney)in fauquier. He was known as tory bob during the revolution days due to his loyalty to the crown. His son, James Stringfellow, lived in fauquier for a whike until he mmigrated to alabana. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
