I find the STRINGFELLOW surname somehow connected to my
WEEDEN,WHILDEN,WEELDON/BROWN tri-racial family line for
which I am unable to make ANY connections?????
Have been at this research for 13yrs and have finally
concluded that there is a connection to the RI Indian WEEDENS thru my SC ancestors, tho I have yet to find the LINK.
Family lore told of being FPOC coming from England as indentured servants, but I find my ggrandfather, WM LAWRENCE WEELDON, Black, born 1829 SC, was a slave of the
WHEELDON/WHILDEN family of Christ Church and Sumter, SC.
My ggrandmother was CHARATA BROWN, mulatto, listed as born
1833 NC, altho I suspect VA or RI; fail to find ANY info
on either prior to 1870 Wilmington, NC where the family lived until 1910.
If of any interest, hope to hear from you.
