Hello Judy and Laura,
I have been reading the messages that have been posted between you two and some from me during the week of Feb. 3- most interesting.
Judy, the maps you posted in this message were terrific, our Atlas is the NAtional Geoographic and does not show a lot of the smaller towns. Could you post another map of the lower end of Sweden, showing Malmohus and Persterop, please.
I am wondering if our Strobecks were related in Sweden?
We always heard that they came from Germany to Sweden after the 30 years war- 1648 or so. That is a long way back. There is that town named Strobeck in what was Eastern Germany. My Husband's father always said they came from there. Maybe this is not so?
Judy- is Strobeck a common name in Sweden? I am trying to absorb all the information contained within the messages and yes it is fascinating.
I will write to you Laura on another message.
