Benjamin Stromer, b. 1889 in Austria

Looking for info on my grandfather Benjamin.

He was born in 1889 in Austria, the son of Max Stromer and Frances Stelheimer. Don't know when he came to U.S., but I have found him in 1928 in Norwich, CT, then gone for 3 years, only to return to Norwich in 1932 for one year, then in 1933 he moved to New York City. I have combed the 1933 New York City directories, but no sign of him.

I'm happy to see this forum finally added. Our surname is not as common as Smith or Jones, but there are Stromers out there, and maybe this will help the genealogical search.
