Elijah Stroup

I'm looking for information on Elijah Stroup born early 1800's possibly in Pennsylvania or Germany. Married Rebeca Newman. They had at least 4 children; Amelia (b. 1855), Amanda (b 1850), John and Morris (Monroe). They lived in Muncy, PA. Amanda's obituary in 1919 indicated sister Amelia O'Brien of Waverly and brothers Monroe Strout of Muncy, PA and John Stroup in the West. I don't know if the Stroup/Strout was a typo from the newspaper of if Monroe changed the spelling. I'd appreciate any information on the family history. Thank you.
