(a) To the best of your knowledge, has any documented descendant of early Madison Co. John and Mary (nee Stehle/Steely) Stroup submitted a DNA sample to FamilyTreeDNA for testing?

(b) FYI: I have researched Joseph and Jane (nee Denton) Stroup's line extensively and have confirmed that their last-known male STROUP-surname descendant was Herbert Ainsley Stroup, only son of Simeon Marshall and Texana (nee Bell) Stroup, b. 17 Sep 1893, d. 20 Dec 1963. Herbert md. Ida Bell McKinley and had three daughters but no sons.

Joseph and Jane (nee Denton) Stroup's son, Joseph Jr. appears to have died before Joseph Sr., between 1865 and February 1870, and I have found no evidence that Joseph Jr. married and/or had children. Joseph Jr. is the only child of Joseph Sr. and Jane who is NOT mentioned in Joseph Sr.'s will.

(c) I ask my question in (a) because, if no descendant of Madison Co. John and Mary has submitted a DNA sample yet, I'm very tempted to begin beating the bushes to find one who will.
