In the 1810 census, widow Christiana STROUB has just two children, both boys under the age of 10. We know that one son was John STRAUB, born 16 Jan 1806. Given their geographic proximity, in Schuylkill County, the other son might be either George STRAUB, born 15 Jan 1803, or Peter STRAUB, born ca. 1805, but I don't know that there is any evidence to support which, if either, is her second son. I made this suggestion, tentatively, on my web site

and I suspect that someone has picked up on my suggestion, erroneously repeating it as fact.

As you know, a male patrilineal descendant of John has been Y-DNA tested. If we could find and test male patrilineal descendants of George and Peter, we would have our answer.
