Thank you for the information, knowing who Absalom's parents were, explains the name of his daughter Catherine.

As a side note, Absalom was living in Walla Walla Washington in 1870. He was running a business with David Weston. David was the step son of Jane Montgomery Weston Beavert, also Naomi's mother.

Absalom married quite late in life, do you know if he married before Naomi?

Also, there was a George Stoup living in Oregon too. Do you know if he might have been a brother?

I am having difficulty locating the where abouts of Catherine A. Stroup after her father mentioned her in his will dated 1900. Hoping, she may have left to join other family.
