does anyone have any information on possibly a John or James Edward Stroupe in or around Floyd County GA in 1919. My grandfather (Walter E. Stroupe, name changed by army in WWII) was abandoned by his father. His mother was Lizzie Mae Shamblin. Later in life he hired a private investigator who said there was some evidence he had spent some time in KY.
