Thank you for the additional information, Bill.
The problem is the connection between the elder Adam (b. ca. 1690) and Jacob (b. 8 Nov 1724). DNA has proven that this Jacob is the son of Johann Pieter STRAUB I, the 1733 immigrant to Philadelphia, not s/o Adam, s/o Mathias.
If the birth date you show for Jacob STROUP is correct, the connection is emphasized because that means he's a twin to Johann Pieter STRAUB II, whom we know from his tombstone in St. Peter's Cemetery, Freeburg, Snyder Co., PA, was also born on 8 Nov 1724.
Yes, I noticed you joined the project. I'm so pleased! The other descendant of Adam3 (Jacob2, Johann Pieter1) will also be pleased. I'm about to make an announcement on the STRAUB-DNA mailing list, to which I would welcome you to subscribe:
I just wanted to get the family group sheets of your line online before I make the announcement (I should be done in a couple of hours).
