In searching for information on my great-grandfather's three younger sisters, I came across the following marriage in MAINE:
Arthur P. Strout marrying Josephine L. Lewis on 4/14/1903. He was from Bowdoin and she was from Lisbon. .... Josephine was the twin sister of John Stanley Lewis, who were both 14 in 1874. They had two younger sisters, Elizabeth, 9, and Mary, 7. ... They were all "British Home Children" arriving in Halifax, NS. John Lewis migrated to Boston, MA, in 1881. But, I have not been able to find out where his 3 sisters went. Since there is no information about them in Nova Scotia, I think they might have moved to Maine. .... If anyone has any information on an Arthur P. Strout marrying a Josephine Lewis in Maine in 1903, I'd appreciate hearing from them.
