Hi Al,
About eight years ago I pulled a file [KSTROUT.ged] off the net. According to this file, Christopher Strout was baptized on 12 Sept. 1631 at Egloshayle, Wadebridge, Cornwall, England. Cristopher was the son of Anthony and Mary Stroud. Anthony is said to be of German descent. Anthony changed his name to Strout at the time of Cristopher's baptism. According to this file, the source for this information was a letter from the Vicarage at Egloshayle.
I have not attempted to verify any of the above.
Regards
Tom Dunn
