Edward was born Edward Coter STROUT (1802-1864), son of James STROUT (1774-1855) and Sarah JOHNSON (1772-1855). In 1838 he and his wife and children had their surname legally changed to SEALAND.

1. In the change order they list a son by the name of Edwin STROUT. Does anyone have any information about him?

2. Does anyone know why they may have changed their name or the significance of SEALAND?

Thank you,
