I hope you can help me with a question. The question is: Did Sarah Mayo b. 1732 to Robert and Deborah (Strout) Mayo marry William Dolliver in Falmouth in 1749 or did she marry Joseph Strout in Falmouth in 1753. It seems that Sarah posted intentions with three gentlemen; Richards Humphrey 19 Feb 1749 who subsequently posted intentions with Sarah Delano 1 Oct 1749; William Dolliver 11 Nov 1749 and Joseph Strout 20 Apr 1753. I have done a survey of "all" the Sarah Mayos up to the point of the potential marriages and there is only one that is logical. I am trying to use this marriage to apply to the Mayflower Society and they are rejecting the marriage to Joseph, but acknowledge that there is a conflict.

Please contact me at robert.g.gifford@verizon.net. Thanks Bob Gifford
