You mention Mt Auburn Cemetery. Some years ago I went to the Northwest Gen Soc on Felix Street and got the names of Stufflebean’s buried in the cemetery. I then went to the Public Library on Felix Street and obtained the obits of Thomas and Phoebe Stufflebean. I have reread the obits and realize I had not completed my database of the Stufflebean’s. The obits noted that they had a son by the name of Walter F. The 1910 Census for Polk, Sullivan County, Milan PO MO shows the Walter. The 1920 Census shows Thomas and Phoebe (Feby) in the same place. Two households later it shows Walter Floyd as Head and Dewey as son. The 1930 census shows Walter in Washington Township with wife Marie. Washington Township is where this Patton family lived. Dewey is actually a brother to Walter. It is clear now that Walter Floyd is the son of Phoebe (Patton) Stufflebean. Phoebe is the sister of my great grandmother, Martha Patton. There are a great many Patton descendants living in Buchanan, Andrew and Nodaway Counties. Several sibling migrated to these counties. I have traced these Patton’s back to being born in Maryland prior to 1800. I have a picture of Margaret Turnipseed. Margaret is the grandmother of Walter Floyd. I have a picture of Thomas Patton who is the brother of Walter Floyd. I hope this helps. What is your relationship to Walter Floyd?
